SABRINA MARIE JOHNSON

Sabrina Marie Johnson entered into her eternal rest on July 1, 2022. She was born December 10, 1980 to Carolyn and the late Eddie Johnson of Westbury, NY.

Sabrina received her education in the Westbury public schools. As a child, she enjoyed playing the flute in the school band and singing in the choir at St. John’s Baptist Church of Westbury, NY. After Sabrina graduated high school she went on to Briacliff College of Shoreham, NY for Computer Engineering.

Sabrina was an amazing mother to her 3 children and she truly enjoyed life. Anyone who knew her, loved her contagious positive energy & personality which attracted many people; most lasting a lifetime. Sabrina enjoyed many hobbies such as, performing in talent shows, participating in step and dance competitions and so much more. Most of all, she enjoyed family activities such as attending carnivals, having family gatherings, BBQ’s, going to the beach and out to eat at different restaurants and so on. Sabrina was always ready for a road trip, especially to Virginia where she would always orchestrate for all the family to see each other.

Sabrina surrounded herself with great people and was always helping a friend in need; whether they needed a place to stay or anything, if she could do it, consider it done. She was the life of the party! She was always meeting new people, creating new friends with true bonds and being a matchmaker as well. Sabrina was the glue, always keeping in touch with our out of town relatives and friends and kept everyone together. She was our attorney and therapist when relationships got rough. She even treated her children’s friends as her own; “always looking out for the kids” is what she would say. When it came down to it, she played no games! Sabrina was the protector of her family & friends by any means necessary. She was filled with joy and very prideful that she was able to see her oldest daughter Saniyah and her youngest son graduate from high school and kindergarten. Sabrina’s love was one of a kind and that will always be missed. Her smile, her cheerfulness and head strong attitude was unique to say the least.

When Sabrina loved, she loved hard and she spent her last years with the love of her life, Donald Hayes; they were inseparable. As she reunites with her father, Eddie and sister Jacqueline Johnson, she leaves behind to cherish her memories, mother, Carolyn Johnson; daughters, Saniyah & Zakiyah Johnson; son, Jassiah King; sisters, Keisha & Sheila Johnson, Janine Sutton-Bryant & Cecilia Liriano who are also the godmother’s to her children; brothers, Edward Johnson, Jr. and Christopher Sutton; nieces, Taylor, Delilah and Khalia Johnson, Jalina & Jaylin Bryant, Chalia & Chalyce Boswell; nephews, Laqwaan Lockwood, Khalil Johnson, Mikael Sebastin, and King-David Sutton along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and very close friends.
