SADIE F. FISHER

Sadie Francis Fisher, beloved daughter of the late Willie Armstrong and Tyease Copes, was born September 7, 1942 in New Church, VA. She departed this life on September 9, 2018 at her residence.

Sadie was known to her family and friends as “Ballie” and received her education in the Accomack County Schools. She worked for P & L, Golden Pride and Mountaire poultry processing plants until her health failed.

On September 19, 1964, Sadie joined in Holy Matrimony with the late Vernon A. Fisher and was blessed with six children. She was a loving and caring mother who enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking and watching Family Feud. Later, Sadie joined Mt. Hope Baptist Church and became a Deaconess.

Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Armstrong and Tyease Copes; her husband of 53 years, Vernon A. Fisher; four brothers, Curtis, Grover, Leroy Taylor and Theodore Lewis; two sisters, Blanche Tull and Doris Schoolfield.

Sadie is survived by her three sons, Vernon (Naomi) Fisher, Russell (JoAnn) Fisher, Marion (Catherine) Fisher; three daughters, Teresa (Edward) Trader, Sandra (John Wayne) Walker and Helen Fisher; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, four sisters, Gloria Taylor, Ethel (Cornelius) Thornton, Mildred Chisum, and Lela Taylor, four brothers, John Taylor, William Taylor, Michael (Joyce) Taylor, and Sidney (Tammy) Taylor, five sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, three special friends, Billie Fisher, Vernetta Hooper and Brenda Lankford, adopted grandson, LaQuan Nock and a church buddie, Miss Gertrude Canon and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
