DOROTHEA REGINA DICKERSON

DOROTHEA REGINA DICKERSON, also known as Doris, was the daughter of the late William Taylor and Mary B. Taylor. She departed this life on February 28, 2014. She was born December 22, 1945. Dorothea gave her life to Christ at a young age and joined St. John’s Methodist Church in Atlantic, VA. Dorothea attended the public schools of Accomack and graduated from Mary N. Smith High School in 1964. Later she was employed by Tyson Foods for 20 years. She married Harold E. Dickerson, Sr. and to this union there were two children born, Harold E. Dickerson, Jr. (deceased) and Wanda (Michael) Harris of Onancock.

Dorothea leaves to cherish precious memories, a husband, Harold Dickerson, Sr., two sisters, Linda Godwin of Atlantic, VA and Andrea Taylor of Bloxom, VA, and one brother, Andre Taylor of Oak Hall, VA. A brother, Adrian Taylor predeceased her. Dorothea raised two grandsons, GeNorris Marshall of Chesapeake,VA and Ronrecus Wharton of Oak Hall, VA. Other family members are: granddaughter, Destiny Dickerson, and one grandson, Larry Ashby, Jr. both of Eden, MD, two great-granddaughters,Yahmirra Marshall, and Dyamon Ashby, one sister-in-law, Dorothy Taylor of Newark, DE, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
