LAWRENCE RODNEY DUFFY

Lawrence Rodney Duffy, beloved son of the late Elton and Annie Duffy was born on March 2nd, 1966 in Accomac, Virginia. He peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 1st, 2021 at his residence.

Lawrence graduated from Arcadia High School in 1985. After high school he attended ECPI for two years then joined the U S Army where he served for one year.

Lawrence affectionately was called Duffenstein by the class of 1985 Arcadia Firebirds. He enjoyed driving, basketball, watching football, and most of all being with his family. His favorite football team was the Baltimore Ravens. He was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Lawrence was an all-around good guy with a heart made of gold. He would do anything in his power for anyone.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton and Annie Duffy, brother, Elton Duffy, and sisters, Shirley Duffy and Mary (Ressie) Duffy.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters: Lartrice Harris of Portsmouth, VA, Dyrita Banks of Melfa, VA, sisters: Hazel Jackson of Boston, VA, Evette (Owolabi) of East Orange, NJ, a brother: Calvin Duffy, of Exmore, VA and seven grandchildren: Dynasia, JaBias, DeQuan, Ja’Leah, Rihanna, Alana and Ariah; one aunt, Jeanette Weiner of Baltimore, MD, one uncle: David Finney of Baltimore, MD and friends from the class of 1985: Dallas Davis, Everett Corbin, Alfred Turner, Tracy Bagwell, and Darnell Dickerson; Two special friends: Teresa of Exmore, VA, and Shirl of Baltimore, MD; special nephew Allen Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will truly be missed and his memory will live on forever.
