BETTY ANN MAPP

BETTY ANN MAPP was born October 11, 1950 to the late Paul and Susie Savage. She departed this life at Virginia Beach Sentara on January 27, 2014 due to a lingering illness.

Betty was known to her family and friends at "Midget." The King took her home with him because he saw that her work here was done. Now, it was time for her to be with Him.

Betty was educated in the public schools of Accomack County and she gave her life to Christ at an early age. Those of you who knew her and lived in her house or walked through her door knew she kept your feet to the fire and made sure you walked in a straight line. Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Savage, and four brothers, Sylvanus Savage, Francis Savage, Leroy Savage and Ralph Savage.

Betty leaves to cherish fond memories: six children, Acey Mapp (Marquette) of Wachapreague,VA, Shi Mapp of Salisbury, Maryland, Alfred Mapp of Wachapreague, VA, Malesia Mapp of Daughtery, VA, Alfreda Mapp of Wachapreague and Triphinia Mapp of Tasley, VA; a sister, Juanita (Willis) Carswell of Paterson, NJ; a sister-in-law, Ella Mae Savage of Locustville, VA; twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Special friends of the family, Marlo Trader, Vera Turlington and Rhonda Duncan.
